Long Time Coming
Two years ago, I had a vision of the website I wanted to create. Just prior to its inception, Covid struck and as in so many things, it was put on hold.
Many things have changed over the past few years, the way we shop, how we spend our leisure time, the way we communicate, and even the way we work.
My original ideas for this site evolved in many of the same ways my lifestyle has changed.
Rather than a leisure life of retirement, I found that I wanted to create a small business of my own.
Additionally, I wanted to pursue interests that I developed over time.
Having moved to the Smokey Mountain region of North Carolina, I’m fascinated by the indigenous plants and their uses, including foraging, herbal remedies, crafting, gardening, and herbal teas.
With the rising cost of groceries on everyone’s mind, I’ve been researching recipes that are cost-efficient, including some from the WWII era that I inherited from my grandmother and that I tweaked a bit to modernize.
